How to use this checklist

Spend 15 minutes checking the places customers trust most.

Start with the places customers normally see before they call, book or visit: Google Business Profile, your website homepage, your latest notices, your reviews and your social profiles. The aim is not to post everywhere every day. The aim is to remove wrong information before it costs a visit or booking.

If a detail is temporary, such as bank holiday hours or a short closure, add a reminder to remove it later. If a detail is permanent, such as phone number, service area or booking link, make sure the same wording appears everywhere important.

  • Check Google hours, holiday hours, phone number and website link.
  • Check the website homepage for stale banners, old offers and unclear opening information.
  • Check recent Google reviews and prepare calm replies for anything unanswered.
  • Check Facebook, Instagram, booking directories and local listings for mismatched details.
  • Write down one next action: fix hours, reply to reviews, update a notice or request a fresh photo.
